Michelle Doherty

Michelle Doherty is an Irish television/radio presenter, actress, model and DJ. Michelle began her career as a model with the Morgan The Agency going on to become one of Irelands most successful models, appearing in many high profile national and international TV campaigns. She has gone on to become one of their most high profile TV personalities.

 

Michelle’s natural ability in front of camera and her passion for music led to her break in TV presenting and she has presented, among others, Night Shift, an alternative music show on Channel Six in Ireland, and Under Ether on RTE Two. As well as being nominated for an IFTA (Irish Film and Television Award), Michelle has been nominated for Ireland’s TV Personality of the Year.

 

Due to her popularity with fans she was approached to front her own radio show, Finest Work Songs on Phantom FM, and following the success of this was promoted to co-anchor Phantom FMs flagship show, the morning show ‘Pure Morning’. She has won the Best Irish Radio DJ category in the Hot Press Annual Poll becoming the first ever female DJ to do so. She is currently one of Ireland's most sought after female DJ's.

 

Michelle has also successfully turned her hand at acting. She played the part of “Liv” in Lenny Abrahamson’s critically acclaimed, award winning film “What Richard Did”, and in award winning independent Irish film “The Hit Producer” she played the lead role of “Katelin Ballantine” for which she recently won Best Actress at the IndieFEST film awards in Los Angeles.

 

Most recently Michelle landed the coveted presenting gig on Irish entertainment show Xposé, and went down a storm with viewers of the daily magazine show, one of Irelands most popular TV programmes. She still regularly reports from London.

 

Michelle and partner Mark welcomed their first child, Max, at the beginning of August. Michelle and Max are the new faces of Danone’s First 1,000 Days Awareness campaign.
